Jab harry met sejal review

Review : ☆☆☆
When the news of Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali coming together for a film broke out, the internet world broke out by its news . Everyone looked ahead for the movie in which the well known king of romance will be in his form after many years.
At first the release date was finalised by Salman khan but later Shah Rukh Khan had to prepone it to avoid the effect of clash. Although the release date was out but the movie title was still missing. After a lot of wait finally the title arrived named as 'Jab Harry Met Sejal' given by Ranbir Kapoor as per the social media reports.
Now talking about movie, Imtiaz Ali has successfully delivered his usual style with slight modifications to an already fixed template. What could be better than placing a tour guide, who can also sing at a high pitch, at the helm of affairs and then simply making his actors travel from one beautiful location to another? Because that is what a tour guide does.
Shah Rukh Khan is a tour guide who is forced to accompany Anushka Sharma after she loses her engagement ring on a tour to Amsterdam. With Hindi and Punjabi mixed, Shah Rukh looks in control of the situation. However, the build up of the story is quite slow.
The opening shots of Jab Harry Met Sejal will remind you of Love Aaj Kal where Saif Ali Khan looks frustrated and is in search for some moments of solace.
Anushka Sharma isn’t new to the Shah Rukh Khan universe, so she knows when to restrict herself from going overboard. She knows the intricacies of such a love story, and she doesn’t look out of place. She has a talkative character that keeps faltering in her accent, but she manages to hide it with comic timing.
Shah Rukh Khan, meanwhile, has a soaring presence in Jab Harry Met Sejal. He gets to speak heavy-duty dialogues and has been given perfect pauses to make him look like the hero new-age Bollywood demands.
The music of Jab Harry Met Sejal is probably not at par with some of the earlier Imtiaz Ali films, but even then it’s worth noticing, especially the trendy beats in Beech Beech Mein.
The drawbacks of the movie is you can notice somehow weak direction in many scenes. Some of the scenes also seems too slow, boring and you feel few scenes likely to match other movies.
In summary, Jab Harry Met Sejal is a fun riot with fabulous performance of Shah Rukh Khan & Anushka Sharma with fantastic graphics & editing.
