Subh Mangal Saavdhan review : Full packed entertainer

'Shubh Mangal Saavdhan' is a remake of the Tamil film 'Kalyana Samayal Saadham' made in 2013. The story revolves around Mudit Sharma ( Ayushmann Khurrana ) and Sugandha ( Bhumi Pednekar ) who fall in love and plan to get married. But the twist in the tale comes when the groom discovers that he suffers from erectile dysfunction.

The movie has undoubtly poked a different tricky question about erectile dysfunction & turn it to the funny story which is certainly a right idea otherwise the movie would be a dry mess. Here, Ayushmann & Bhumi are again able to create their magic after their success in 'Dum laga k haisa'. In addition, they are surrounded by talented supporting artist who plays their role in a perfect way.

However, Seema Pahwa deserves a special mention. She has nailed down the traditionally modern mother in the recent past (as seen in 'Bareilly Ki Barfi'), and can clearly continue to make her career best in it. In the highlight of the film which is a conversation between a morose Sugu and her mom played by Pahwa trying to unpack the secret of the birds and bees is beyond hilarious.

The point at where the movie is flat is it's climax where it is forced to the unsuitable turning point which makes some dissapointment to the viewers.

Overall, 'Subh Mangal Saavdhan' is a full packed entertainer worth a watch.
